Case Officer for Disclosure of Public Documents

We are looking for a case officer for the disclosure of public documents who, together with other employees, wants to develop our information management at the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency!
The Information Management Unit is responsible for handling the agency's public documents, registration, and archive management. The unit's tasks include governance and support regarding how the agency should work with information management, processing of personal data and data protection, mandatory delivery of electronic material, as well as making information and data-driven information accessible.

The agency receives many new assignments from the government and handles various types of grants and fees in the climate and environmental field. To facilitate for the case officers, we intend to develop work methods to streamline and coordinate the disclosure of public documents.
Your Responsibilities
You will work supportively and guiding towards the operations and produce internal guiding materials to ensure that the process for disclosures is carried out effectively and legally.
Independently and, where applicable, in collaboration with operations, registration, archives, and legal affairs, you will handle requests for the disclosure of public documents from individuals, companies, and public actors. This work often involves receiving requests for public documents, corresponding with requesters, retrieving and disclosing documents, conducting confidentiality assessments, and processing and registering disclosures.
Furthermore, you are responsible for ensuring that the agency's disclosures are made in accordance with internal routines and current legislation.
Your Qualifications
Requirements:
- A university degree of at least 180 credits, preferably in law, archive and information science, or social sciences, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
- Experience in the disclosure of public documents, including confidentiality assessments according to the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act.
- Very good knowledge and practical experience of the regulations governing the disclosure and handling of public documents.
- Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
- Experience in case handling at a government agency.
Meritorious:
- Experience in confidentiality assessments and handling in connection with that.
Personal Attributes
As a case officer in disclosures, you have a pronounced sense of responsibility for your tasks and a careful, structured, and efficient working method. You have the ability to quickly understand contexts in different operations and you have a holistic perspective. We would like you to have good communication skills and be able to express yourself in an accessible way in both speech and writing. Additionally, you need to have good collaboration skills and be service-oriented towards the public, which requires you to act according to the agency's policies, guidelines, and routines. We value high flexibility without compromising the quality of the work.

About the Employment
The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. The position is located in Stockholm or Östersund. Start date as soon as possible by agreement. We apply individual salary setting.
Travel within the country may occur.
